Famous Hotels in Dubai - Find Out Which is the Newest on the Dubai Scene

Yes, Dubai's Atlantis Hotel opened with possibly the most expensive party ever. Reports noted how celebrities like Robert De Niro and Denzel Washington were in attendance along with pop singer Kylie Minogue, who earned a record $4 million for her performance (did not even last an hour) at the grand bash. The fireworks display, which promoters claimed could be seen from space, also was reportedly the most expensive and/or largest fireworks show of all time. The extravaganza at the new luxury hotel in Dubai defined largess.
There are plenty of tourist activities in Dubai, and many of them unique such as snow skiing in the desert at the indoor snow skiing resort. However, the Atlantis Hotel Dubai has its own activities such as Dolphin Bay where you can swim with dolphins, the large aquarium Ambassador Lagoon and a stunning water park, the Atlantis Aqua Venture Park (fancy going down the Ziggurat, a water slide that takes your through a shark lagoon?). If you have the dough needed to stay at the Atlantis Hotel, you can surely also carry out all your tourist activities in Dubai without going to the rest of the city.
The Burj Al Arab is currently the most famous hotel in the world along with being the only seven star hotel in the world (and the most expensive, etc.), and is on it's own man-made island. The Atlantis Hotel Dubai (also referred to as Atlantis The Palm) sits at the head of the Palm Jumeirah Islands, the newest man-made islands in Dubai in the shape of, you guessed it, a palm tree. The Burj Al Arab now has competition as Dubai's Atlantis Hotel is now one of the two most famous hotels in Dubai, and thus, the world.

The New Dubai - A Destination For Everyone

The recent wealth of developments in 'New Dubai' as it's been dubbed, are exciting, striking and a truly fantastic place to go on holiday or get down to business. The area around Dubai Marina has so much to offer all sorts of travellers and as a result, has a number of wonderful and world-class places to stay.
As consumer demand changes and dictates new approaches and services in all aspects of life, this has also spread to the travel market and accommodation in particular. So if you're looking for something truly different then why not try out Dubai and a luxury serviced apartment rather than a hotel?
When you fly to Dubai on business the thought of being cooped up in a small hotel room after a busy day of meetings or appointments probably doesn't appeal to you. Having nowhere to stretch out, a lack of facilities to make yourself something to eat and dull décor can all contribute to a feeling of home sickness.
By booking your stay in a stylish and well equipped serviced apartment instead you'll feel more like you're in a home from home. Apartments tend to be much more spacious and as a result have a lot more amenities than a standard hotel room could ever accommodate. You can kick back, relax and do whatever you want to do in style. Just because you're a long way from home doesn't mean you should have to give up your home comforts.
This new part of Dubai is also an excellent location for a family holiday. Many of the serviced apartments in and around the Marina area have been designed with this in mind. Having your own kitchen can eradicate meal time squabbles when you're travelling with older children and having that bit of extra room means you won't be living on top of each other. Families with younger kids will definitely appreciate having more space than they'd get in a hotel room to store all the necessities that have to come along with them.
Perhaps the most important benefit of choosing a serviced apartment though is value for money. The number of amenities, extra space and added convenience can all be yours at prices comparable to many local hotel rooms.
So before you book your trip to Dubai, it might be worth considering what you actually want from your stay and accommodation. This new breed of Dubai serviced apartments have brought a fresh alternative to this truly beautiful part of the world.

Dubai Beach Apartments - A New Fad In Holiday Making

Dubai is fast gaining a cult status in today's world, not only due to its enviable trade and commerce, but also because of its emergence on the world map as a major tourism destination. The city of Dubai is facing as a result, an onslaught of visitors these days. They include the CEOs, executives, technicians, managers, holidaymakers, rich and famous and almost anybody else that you may think of. This has caused, as a consequence, a great stress on the hotel industry which was catering to most of the rising accommodation demands until recently. The other option, which is now widely being used for lodging is that of hiring privately owned villas and apartments on rent. Experts say they are going to play a significant role in Dubai's tourism in the years to follow.
Memoirs suggest it was the 1960s that turned out to be a turning point in Dubai's quest for wealth. They had an impressive growth rate by then due to the ongoing gold trade, which subsequently got aided because of the discovery of oil. Multinationals began converging at Dubai's seashores with their assets and manpower in a huge fashion, and the sleeping town had suddenly become alive. One can measure the impact of that inflow of men and women from the fact that more than 70 percent of today's population in Dubai is comprised of expatriates. The rush hasn't stopped till this date and the queues for visas continue to spread out.
What leaves one disappointed though, is a lack of inexpensive accommodation that can leave you stranded in Dubai. Barring a few low-priced ones, most of the hotels in Dubai are very expensive. In addition, hotel bookings have to be made in advance, which keeping in mind their expenses can prove out to be a costly affair if the meetings had to be rescheduled or cancelled. This is where privately owned apartments, also called Dubai beach apartments, assume great significance for the visitors. They are found not only to be inexpensive, but also carrying with them extra space, added privacy and more facilities when compared against the hotel accommodation.
A majority of these rentals can be found located in Dubai Marina, Dubai beach and other essential areas of the megapolis. State of the art facilities such as high speed Internet, Cable TV, DVD player, swimming pool, gymnasium etc are offered with each property for hire. Weekly house keeping services do also get extended and so are the supplies of bed sheets, blankets, towels, shampoo, shower gel etc met. Apart from houses on rent one may also choose a place to live from the hotel apartment category. Some of these hotel apartments could also be found situated right at the beach, which also means they would have breath-taking sea-shore views for you to get delighted on.
Getting information on those who are providing apartments in Dubai would tell they are mostly real estate dealers. Some of these companies may be found being managed by highly professional teams. The same may not be said regarding others though. It is advised therefore, you did homework before going through any deal. The biggest caution is to know if the house really had a seaside view, in case you were looking for one. You might end up living with a view that was being blocked by several other apartments.
According to the residents in Dubai, 'you would get to see a new building each new morning you got woken up'. Steps taken to boost the infrastructure have been producing results during the last four and half decades. World's only seven star hotel stands tall at Dubai's seashore today. Plans like Jebel Ali Free Zone and Dubai Marina are changing the way people had been thinking about the Gulf as a region. Very reputed bodies like ICC have got their headquarters moved into this famous city now. The world is watching these developments with interest, and willing to be a part of Dubai's expansion. No doubt, investment, tourism and the number of visitors are going to keep knocking at Dubai's doors. So would the demand for beach apartments do in the years to come now.

Dubai's Foray Into Lifestyle Hotels

A new trend of hospitality has recently started picking up, which is called lifestyle hotels. Dubai hotels have been witnessing this emerging shift as well in their business. Lifestyle brands were initially introduced in the Western Hemisphere for targeting particular demographics, but later grew in demand elsewhere, including the Middle East. They have successfully debuted in Dubai as well, with so many famous hotel brands vying for attention in the emerging market. This has made holiday-making in Dubai more exciting for the tourists and a lot more profitable for the hospitality players.
A hospitality brand would take longer to build and cost millions of dollars earlier, but not so in today's era, where the same consumer recognition and trust could be achieved by spending a lesser amount of time and money on lifestyle hotels. These hotels are uniquely designed and configured strongly to woo their respective clienteles. While the basic facilities of the lifestyle brands may not differ much from those at the regular hospitality, it is the branding and therefore the resulting communication between the service providers and their targeted clienteles, which matters more in their case. Dubai hotels have increasingly started introducing lifestyle brands, so that they could meet with a rising demand for a unique and personalized holiday-making.
Lifestyle hotels may occupy smaller areas, but they have a more personalized approach to offer to their guests. Each of them represents a unique style and concept, and a highly defined customer to be taken on board. Some of them may have common markets, but they would also have something unique about each of them to have separate identities. Obviously, they are able to strike a chord by recreating the lifestyles of their own customers. Most of these facilities, including those across the Arabian Gulf, look out for the high-end travelers, something Dubai hotels have never had any dearth of.
Although, lifestyle hotels could generate more money per available room - up to 30% more than the regular Dubai hotels - they find it difficult to preserve their character and appeal, when opting to expand. Mostly the business travelers, who fly internationally and who would fall in the 30-45 age-group, make-up their clientele. They may or may not have the basic facilities like Wi-Fi Internet, telephony, air-conditioning and the cable TV, but they would have, more often than not, on-site dining facilities. They would also have interesting names for their services, which occasionally leaves you confused.
Several key operators have launched lifestyle hotels in Dubai in the last few years, thus starting a race for the market-share of niche demographics. These additions should make the hospitality in Dubai at par with that of the other global destinations. Some of those additions are La Cigale, Campbell Gray Hotels, Starwood, W Hotels and Rocco Forte. These operators have a strong presence in the Middle East and therefore a keen interest in Dubai hotels. More players could follow suit, keeping in mind the growing demand for boutique hotels worldwide. Jumeirah Group, a leading developer from Dubai, has also joined the race by announcing a five-star lifestyle brand, VENU, which would have its operations spread from Shanghai to Dubai.

Cheap Hotels in Dubai

Looking for a cheap hotel in Dubai? I do not blame you.
Dubai, as wonderful and beautiful as it is, has a reputation for being extremely expensive. Some of the wealthiest people in the world live there, and they have come to expect the best in all they do.
But unless you happen to be an oil tycoon yourself, I recommend checking out some a hotel that will still offer the best of Dubai without having to fork over hundreds of dollars per night.
Even budget hotels there hold a high standard for cleanliness, service and elegance.
The first hotel I recommend is the Highland Hotel. This hotel is located in the heart of Dubai and is the perfect place for cost conscious tourists, business and leisure visitors. From the Highland Hotel, you are still able to see the Arabian Sea!
The second cheap hotel in Dubai is the New Peninsula Hotel. This budget hotel is located in the business and shopping district within walking distance of the famous shopping complexes and Gold souk. It also contains several restaurants in the lobby that are worth checking out.
The third and last hotel I want to mention is the Nova Hotel located in the shopping district of Al Fahidi Street. It is in close vicinity to the famous Meena Bazaar and Dubai Creek.
These are three option of cheap hotels in Dubai that are worth your time to examine. Just because the Travel Channel always features hotels that cost thousands of dollars per night to stay in, does not mean that that is the only option for the rest of us.

The Address Montgomerie - Hotels in Dubai

Visiting the address montgomerie dubai is like entering a parallel universe. It is set in the middle of Emirates Hills, a scarily Stepford Wives 'living' community, sort of in the middle of nowhere. You drive and you drive through non-signposted avenues of massive villas in various stages of construction until you reach large, unmarked gates. And then you realize you are there.

The hotel looks lovely from the outside, but the lobby is dull and unwelcoming, and the staff have an indifference we haven't noticed in other hotels. The Angsana Spa is lovely in a peaceful, Zen-like way, with treatments and massages to suit even the most stressed-out guest.
Bedrooms are extremely comfortable, with dark brown being the dominant colour throughout, accented with splashes of red and an abundance of leather. There are masculine, and practical, king-size beds, as well as plenty of pillows, large flat-panel TVs, comfortable leather chairs, large bathrooms with a bathtub and walk-in shower and an abundance of toiletries.

The rooms either overlook the courtyard or the golf course, for which you pay more. There are also three suites.

Three restaurants are located in the hotel: The Academy, a sportsthemed eatery and lounge area, serving pub grub and showing all major international sporting events; Bunkers Restaurant, which is accessible directly off the golf course overlooking the 18th hole; and the main restaurant in the hotel, Nineteen, a fine-dining venue with an open kitchen, a grill menu, live music and a wine list with 250-plus vintages.
Monty Cristo's Cigar Lounge is a throwback to an era when men got up from the table after dinner to enjoy a drink and a cigar with the boys and left the little ladies to sit and talk. There is a lovely pool, a decent gym and of course a stunning golf course - AED 595 for guests, AED 795 for non-guests. If you are coming to Dubai to play golf, this is a great hotel.

The Park Hyatt

This is hands down the prettiest location in all of Dubai. Don't be nervous as you approach from the airport, which is only five minutes away. The driveway might be just off a main road, but the hotel itself is set in acres of mature gardens, right next to a stretch of Dubai Creek and just opposite a park. It resembles nothing so much as a Greek island resort, with low-rise white, domed buildings, blue roofs and tiled floors.
Huge windows overlook date palms, and a glass-walled corridor leads you from the airy reception through leafy courtyards and into the chic Arabic-themed tea room.
Down a sweeping staircase is the fine-dining French restaurant set over two levels with its walls of wine, parquet floors and open-show kitchens.
On Fridays, it does one of the best all-you-can-eat brunches in the city, with free-flowing Dom Perignon all day. The Thai Kitchen, right next to Dubai Creek, is also famous for its weekend a la carte brunch. Cafe Arabesque is an all-day dining Arabic restaurant where breakfast is served, and which later in the day produces piping-hot breads and grills; and there is the squishy-sofa-packed outdoor Terrace bar.

The rooms, all of which feature water views and balconies, have a decidedly feminine edge, decorated in cream and white, and each room has a free-standing marble bath and walk-in shower. The bath products are all scented with a perfume specially created for the hotel. Should you take a particular shine to the artwork - the pictures are all black-and-white shots of Dubai's maritime history - they are available to buy. Standard rooms all sleep two adults and one child, and larger suites have screens that separate living and sleeping areas so business meetings can be held in-room.

A large conference centre on-site is a favourite with local fashion shows and charity events for ladies who lunch. As well as the proximity to affiliated Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, where the hotel can arrange tee times, yachts are available to hire from the marina. The jewel in the crown of the resort, though, is the multiple-award-winning Amara Spa.
Each spa suite, including two designed specially for couples, has its own leafy outdoor courtyard with rain shower for post-treatment tea and dates. Spend a minimum of AED 450 on a treatment, and you will also get full-day access to the palm-shaded pool, with its four whirlpool tubs and soft white padded loungers. Golf widows will also be pleased to hear that the hotel is minutes away from Bur Dubai's souks and the Wafi Mall and Festival Centre.
